Do eMarketing firms practice what they preach?

January 15, 2007 · 1 Comment

I did a quick search on eMarketing, Online Media, Online Marketing, internet marketing & web marketing. For some reason, it seems, that South African eMarketing firms do not bother with PPC, and, to a certain extent, SEO to promote themselves.

Is there someone out there that could enlighten me as to why this is happening?

I would have thought that they of all enterprises would want to be top rankers, strangely enough, they aren’t. Could it be due to the fact that they are selling a service in stead of a product? I know that measuring the ROI on service campaigns are a lot harder than with product campaigns, but, could this result in service orientated companies to not practice PPC?

here are my search results;

1 – eMarketing

2 – Online Media

3 – Internet Marketing

4 – online marketing

Just looking at these 4 searches, two of the better known companies, namely; Quirk & Acceleration, do not appear.

I also read here, that Quirk receives 70% of it’s traffic from Google.

Update: I did a more refined search and Quirk did come up, however, Acceleration is still not up there.
