Miva = Robbery

I don’t understand how these guys are still getting paid. I have, for the past month, been monitoring some recent adds on Miva. The adds have resulted in some Click-Through, but nothing worth mentioning, and by that I mean, it did not yield ANY revenue.

Even Looksmart resulted in more revenue than MivaUS & MivaUK combined. This is obviously not difficult, seeing as the figure to beat is ZERO.

The strange thing is that I have placed the same ads on Miva as I did on Adwords, perhaps tweaked a bit due to character constraints. BUT, still no revenue.

Miva is, in this sense, a rip-off. No wonder I had two Miva employees assigned to my account. The one even gave me a call to try and flog one of their packages off to me.
I am going to delete a good couple of campaigns now, will be monitoring the later ones for performance over the next month and only then decide whether or not to keep them.

Want to place a gazillion links?

I came across this list of “Link Hosts” on Mr SEO, impressive to say the least.

He has a seriously long list of “Link Hosts”. My problem with these directories are that I am almost certain that Google discounts them. I am not sure, however, whether or not Google penalises you for placing text links with them.

I don’t think this is the case, but, it may be that they will be rendered useless by Google. Either way, hop on over there and see for yourself. There are pages with anything from a PR3 to a PR8.
