They did it again! They were able to piss me off yet again!
So, by now, you should know the palava I have had with Digicape and my Apple products. I eventually got my iMac back, with a replaced logic board and the false hope that it was repaired. I had my dad pick it up seeing as I am at work all day and cannot go through to pick it up in office hours. I went home after work, and was relatively excited to play around on my computer once again.
Unfortunately, they had not fixed it and I had to take it back. So, a few days later I took it back and there was a new diagnosis, now all of a sudden it is the PSU that is broken and needs to be replaced.
Why should I trust them? And, why should I pay them a quoted R1200-00 to replace my PSU if the chances are, at the moment 100%, that the latest diagnosis is one of a false nature? Here is the quote;
“The price you where quoted is correct and is broken down as follows:
Power supply @ R928.66
1 Hour Labour @ R336.30
Total (Incl VAT) @ R1264.96″
Since when are PSU’s so damn expensive?
Of course I replied and am entering argumentative discussions with them. I am so fed-up with DigiCape & Apple’s serious lack of customer care.
My iPod & iMac are all faulty at the moment!! Can you believe it.
UPDATE: OK, myself and Digicape have been on better terms for the past couple of weeks and they have offered to drop labour charges and not markup on the unit itself either. Which results in me paying R800 odd for the unit. So, although I have been a bit nasty toward Digicape, they are trying their best to mend customer relationships, which I honour. I am still a bit dissapointed that my iMac has been out of order for 3 months now and has been with digicape for the majority of the time.

Cutomer care hier is goed. Dalk moet jy jou shit vir my mail, dan sal ek dit laat fix. Sal heel moontlik vinniger wees as digicape.

Die ding is, dit is Apple se procedure wat hulle volg. So dit is uniform, die wereld oor.

Makes me wonder if I should cancel my macbookpro order which seems to never arrive at Core, the Apple distributors in South Africa.
